Nursing Care
We provide each child with the medical care and developmental training they need to achieve their highest quality of life. Our Registered Nurse staff ratio exceeds both State mandated and industry standards for PPEC facilities.
Occupational Therapy
We help children adapt to their social environment by teaching them methods on how to perform every day tasks. We evaluate every child’s fine motor skills, habits, and social context in order to make decisions about intervention planning.
Physical Therapy
We teach each child how to manage their difficulties with functional movement and balance. We design individual programs for children which might include exercise for low muscle tone, hand-eye coordination drills, and many others.
Speech Therapy
Our speech therapists work with children to assess and improve social and cognitive communication. We also assist children with articulation, voice, and feeding issues by utilizing various strategies and tools.
Behavioral Therapy
We engage in thorough exploration of emotions, seeking to pinpoint the core triggers of adverse sentiments and thoughts. Through this in-depth process, we equip children with the tools to thrive in social situations, boosting their resilience and adaptability.
Specialized Education
Our MDCPS special education teacher is trained to work with children of varying learning capabilities. We create individual plans to ensure every child maximizes their comprehensive development via a social and stimulating curriculum.
Free Transportation
We can pick up your child anywhere in South Florida and it is completely free to you. Parents can also pick up and drop off their own child if they prefer. Children are always accompanied by a staff member when they are on the bus.
Recreational Activities
We plan various activities throughout the year that are fun for both the children and staff. Holidays, including birthdays, are celebrated with catered lunch and games. Children can also enjoy Disney+, tablets, Nintendo Switches, and more at any time!

At Children’s Rehab, we are able to care for medically fragile children and kids that may have had a developmental delay. The staff at our pediatric rehabilitation center also have training in providing childcare for special needs. However, we still suggest you leave an inquiry if you are unsure if your child qualifies for PPEC medical daycare.
The highest income to qualify for PPEC services with Medicaid will often depend on various factors. If you are unsure whether you qualify, we suggest contacting a local Medicaid office for recent information about PPEC income requirements.
Unlike traditional daycare, which focuses on general child care, PPEC medical daycare centers provide specialized medical and daycare services. Children attending PPEC receive individualized medical attention and therapies in a safe and controlled environment equipped to handle their complex health needs.
