Benefits of Children's Rehab PPEC

Children’s Rehab is a place where fun meets healthcare. Our staff uses special therapies and activities to help young kids grow and develop in a way that embraces their individual differences. Additionally, our MDCPS and social stimulation programs provide adequate education to help young children reach their full potential. If you choose Children’s Rehab, your child will also be able to join our recreational and after-school programs, where they can socialize and make new friends.

However, the benefits of our program do not just stop at the kids. As a parent, you will also be happy to learn that Children’s Rehab is free, leaving more money in your pockets to spoil your child with treats and toys. Our PPEC medical daycare also offers free transportation for PPEC children, giving you the room you need to work while having the peace of mind that your child can still receive the care they need. With Children’s Rehab, you can rest easy knowing that your child is in good hands.

At Children’s Rehab, we are all about providing top-of-the-line care for little ones who qualify for PPEC medical daycare. So, if your child needs a nurse to give them medication, like insulin shots, or requires tube feedings, we are the place for them. You also don’t have to worry about your child being too young with us, as our baby rooms and cribs are perfect for premature babies that may need extra care. We always have nurses keeping a watchful eye on them, so you can have peace of mind that your little one is in safe hands. Children’s Rehab also cares for children with conditions such as Genetic disorders, Post-transplant, Metabolic disorders, Developmental delay, Cerebral palsy, Respiratory disorders, Visual impairment, Hematologic diseases, Gastrointestinal disorders, and Premature births. In any case, any child who visits our center will receive the best care possible.

Who Qualifies for PPEC?

To be eligible for Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care, your child must be younger than 21 years old and have complex medical needs. Medically fragile children entitled to home health services are also likely to qualify for our service.

However, we encourage you to leave an inquiry if you are unsure about your child’s eligibility. Children’s Rehab cares for various conditions, and our team will be happy to clarify any gray areas.

How to Apply for PPEC in Florida

Fortunately, applying for PPEC services in Florida is a breeze with Children’s Rehab. To kickstart the process, you will need to drop by our PPEC center and meet our fantastic team. During this meeting, one of our staff will likely give you a grand tour of Children’s Rehab and explain how our PPEC medical daycare or special needs daycare center is the best place for children with complex medical needs. This discussion with our staff also allows you to explain your child’s needs and what level of progress you would like to see.

If we are able to convince you that Children’s Rehab is the perfect fit for your little one, we will hand over a simple questionnaire and consent form. However, there is no need to fret, as all you need to do is fill in basic information, such as your child’s birthday and primary care provider. Filling out this form is necessary as PPEC in Florida is Medicaid-funded, and we will need to confirm that your child is eligible for the service before carrying on.

After handing over your form, we will send it to the state for approval. While we understand that this may be a nail-biting experience, we promise to make it as stress-free as possible, and we will ensure that we keep you in the loop every step of the way. If the state clears your child for PPEC treatment, we will welcome them with open arms into our Children’s Rehab family, where they can start their journey toward unlocking their full potential.

So, are you ready to take the first step in giving your child the best care possible? If so, don’t wait for anything. Kickstart the application process today by leaving an inquiry. Our team will gladly answer any questions you have.

Medicaid, as well as other private insurances, repays all PPEC services provided in the state of Florida. So, if your child is eligible or qualifies for PPEC services, Medicaid will cover the price of treatment, and there is no cost to you as a parent.

Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) is a treatment program that pediatric daycares generally provide to young children with complex medical needs. This program is Medicaid-funded and provides daycare services to children who require nursing, feeding, or medical assistance during the day provided your child is under 21.

PPEC services at a pediatric extended care center generally include nursing care and physical therapy. However, centers such as Children’s Rehab may also offer additional services, such as occupational therapy, speech therapy, transportation, recreational activities, and more!

At Children’s Rehab, we are able to care for medically fragile children and kids that may have had a developmental delay. The staff at our pediatric rehabilitation center also have training in providing childcare for special needs. However, we still suggest you leave an inquiry if you are unsure if your child qualifies for PPEC medical daycare.

The highest income to qualify for PPEC services with Medicaid will often depend on various factors. If you are unsure whether you qualify, we suggest contacting a local Medicaid office for recent information about PPEC income requirements.
